Alex Pringle was first introduced to western Canada as a newspaperman starting his career in Vancouver, New Westminster, and Seattle. Following these few years, he moved back to Ontario. Trips out west were periodically made to visit family. During his retirement, several winters were spent in British Columbia, no doubt to avoid the harsh Ontario season! His time spent on the west coast was in Britannia Beach and in the interior from Hope, through the Hope-Princeton, up to the Okanagan.
