Bowen Island

Bowen Island has had a place in the Bockhold/Walters family history for over a century. Following the purchase of a 100-acre block of land by a group of friends, building plots were identified so that each family had a waterfront building site and the remaining land was held in common. This came to be known as Bowen Bay Holdings. Cyril and Marjorie Walters first built a cabin and then, over the years, expanded it to a 2-bedroom home with attached artist studio, garage, and guest room. It is from this studio that Marjorie painted a variety of scenes of Bowen Bay.
